Chengene wharf, Fisherman's port or simply Chengeneto - this is a small village 15 km south of Burgas, preserving fishing traditions to this day.The name of the bay is inherited from the settlement of Chingane Iskelesi (also Cingene Rock), which was located in this place already in Ottoman times. After 1972, the boats of the local fishermen were moved to this place from the port of Burgas, due to its expansion. Тoday, the exhibition houses "Taifa", "Buruntia" and "Euxinski Pont" located in the tourist complex take you on a journey through the history of the Black Sea, fishing customs and life of sea wolves. Here you can watch demonstrations of weaving nets, entanglement of ropes and sea knots, tasting of traditional foods and presentation of their beliefs and legends. Part of the complex is a small restaurant and a coffee club, where you can try specialties based on old recipes and refreshing drinks. A multifunctional building and an amphitheater offer conditions for events of any nature, both outdoors and indoors.
Lovers of sea fun can visit the small beach next to the complex or go on a sea adventure with a boat from the nearby marina against the backdrop of some of the most beautiful sunsets in Burgas Bay.
