On an area of five acres on the territory of the Burgas Park "Lake", in close proximity to the seashore, a sand city of figures is erected every summer. Every year the theme of the festival is different. More than 2,500 tons of sand are used annually for the whimsical models. Special lighting adds to the charm of the unique sand town in the evening. In the festival of sand sculptures, organized by the Municipality of Burgas, sculptors from all over the world took part - Indonesia, England, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, etc.
